About

African Bush Adventurers began as a dream and was realized through a labor of love.

Nature-lovers Leon and Sarah Wiering have a deep appreciation for the beauty of the bush and the environment. This is what led them to leave the stress and chaos of the city behind and make a home in Marloth Park.

Leon worked away from home for extended periods and during this time, the vision for African Bush Adventurers & Escape was born. To create a place where people can spend quality time together without the distractions of the world and immerse themselves in the beauty and serenity of the wild.

Like most dreams that are worth pursuing, the project required courage and a commitment to hard work and risk. Leon and Sarah had what it took in spades, and together, they have brought their dream to fruition.

The result? A wild haven, where you can enjoy affordable accommodation without compromising on quality or comfort.

A central place that is uniquely magical, and yet offers you access to a myriad of attractions and activities, including the world-renowned Kruger Park, and neighboring Mozambique and Swaziland.

African Bush Adventurers & Escape – you won’t find TVs and play stations here. Those items don’t exist in our index of luxury. No, here you can expect to enjoy clean, comfortable accommodation, set in wild natural surroundings. For us, true luxury is sharing the adventures of the day around a wood fire under a canopy of stars, with the sounds of the wild echoing through the night around you.

There is a spot beside our fire with your name on it! Check availability here.

The biggest lesson from Africa was that life’s joys come mostly from relationships and friendships, not from material things. I saw time and again how much fun Africans had with their families and friends … they laughed all the time. ~Andrew Shue
